About the Organizers

Founded in 1975, the Pacific Forum is an independent, non-profit, foreign policy research institute based in Honolulu, in the U.S. State of Hawai'i. The Forum’s programs encompass current and emerging political, security, economic, and business issues and work to help stimulate cooperative policies in the Indo-Pacific through analyses and dialogues undertaken with the region’s leaders in academia, public policy, military and industry. The Forum collaborates with a network of more than 30 research institutes around the Pacific Rim, drawing on Asian perspectives and disseminating project findings and recommendations to opinion leaders, governments, and publics throughout the region. We regularly co-sponsor conferences with institutes throughout Asia to facilitate nongovernmental institution building as well as to foster cross-fertilization of ideas.

Located on-island, the Pacific Forum collaborates closely with INDOPACOM, U.S. and allied industry representatives, and security cooperation officers from the Indo-Pacific region.

The Pacific Forum relies on the generous support of individuals, corporations, and foundations to make its work possible. To learn more about the Pacific Forum, please visit pacforum.org or contact us at pacificforum@pacforum.org.
